The Manioca industrial estate in Eschen and KIKA in Liezen

Piles for the Manioca industrial estate in Eschen (Liechtenstein) and KIKA in Liezen

The new Manioca industrial estate in Eschen (Liechtenstein) was built on an old lake bed. Firm ground is only found in the underlying moraine at a depth of over 20 metres. The solution for the right foundations was therefore compressed piles from a single casting.

The KIKA company has built a new furniture store in Liezen. During the first geological investigations, the planners found themselves confronted with peaty ground and non-supporting gravel strata as far as the underlying moraine.

A solution was found by constructing the foundations on ductile piles from TRM at a depth of 40 -50 metres.
