Strechenbach

Turbine pipes for Strechenbach

Due to the substantial power consumption, the “Flicksche Forstverwaltung” (“Flicksche Forestry Administration”) decided to construct its own power station to cover its electricity requirements.

Due to the low slope, the civil engineering office of Dr. Kraus/Dipl. Ing. Pittino planned a large-bore pipe of 5 km in length. The pipes with the nominal width DN 1000 were laid in a forest path. In this way, 5 MW of electricity can be produced with a pressure performance of 25 bar. Any excess production will be made available to the “ÖKU Bilanzgruppe”.
