Selzthal Bridge
Second lane including tunnel pipes for the Phyrn motorway
A second lane including tunnel pipes was planned for the busy Phyrn motorway. The construction work proved to be extremely difficult, due to the very loamy ground with non-supporting players and the many artesian wells, which had to be protected against any damage. While concrete piles were used at the start of the project, it soon became necessary to look for a more space-saving, technically feasible and economic solution.
