Syphon pipes

Syphon pipes are used for crossing underneath stretches of water or buildings. The preliminary assembly can be carried out dry the tensile connection enables the pipe to be drawn in later. Syphon pipes are often lifted into place with cranes, drawn into prepared channels by cable reels or laid without the need for a trench by means of horizontal directional drilling (HDD).

All these processes place demanding requirements of the pipe material, the connection technology and the exterior protection. Pipes made of the high-strength material of ductile cast iron, the longitudinal positive-locking sleeve connections and outer protection of mechanically highly resistant cement mortar coating (ZMU) are ideally suited for syphon pipes.
