Fire-extinguishing pipes
If efficient fire-extinguishing facilities are lacking, this can often lead to catastrophes resulting in serious or fatal injury and destruction of property.
Due to their high safety reserves against stresses exerted by internal pressure (pressure surges) and external stresses, pipes made of ductile cast iron are used for fire-extinguishing systems, and particularly in the field of transport, e.g. in the construction of new railway and motorway tunnels, in airports and also for new construction projects in such areas as the chemicals and petrochemicals industries.
A fire-extinguishing water pipe of ductile cast iron pipes is non-inflammable, absorbs stresses and provides water for fire-fighting in an emergency. This is confirmed by the FM approval for our ductile cast iron pipes with BLSŪ socket connection in the nominal widths DN 80 to DN 400.
